Hearth & Ash — Backofhouse Studio

We are a small team roasting coffee in Bushwick, serving it simply. No apps, no loyalty cards, no pour-over theater.

Hearth & Ash opened in 2019 in a converted boiler room on Flushing Avenue. We roast in small batches on a Probat and serve espresso, filter, and a small selection of pastries from a local bakery.

Our menu changes with the seasons. We buy from importers we know, roast to highlight sweetness and clarity, and brew with water at the right temperature.
